Newcomb is a great place for relocation, with one of the best school systems around. It's a small town where everyone knows each other and many local teens have worked at Scoops. If you're not coming in with your own brood to run the shop, experienced workers aren't too hard to find. Some other area attractions are the VIC (visitors interpretive center), the Santanoni Preserve, the source of the Hudson River and many hiking trails. This part of the Adirondacks is a sportsman's paradise. Hunting and fishing opportunities abound, snowmobiling and ice fishing are also very popular activities around here in winter. Personal reasons will prevent Scoops from opening this season and you can be sure there will be a lot of unhappy campers around.
This can be a very rewarding way to spend your summers and this shop is just waiting for a new owner to raise the flag and roll out the OPEN sign. With some positive vision, there are year round possibilities.
Scoops menu included all types of hard and soft ice cream, banana splits, floats, shakes and sodas, subs and sandwiches, hot dogs, nachos, burritos, tortillas and sloppy joes.
Switch out the ice cream to coffee, hot soups, chili and ... to keep it going year round!
